I didn't have school Monday so Jason took the day off, it was great!  We surprised the boys and took them to Build a Bear.  They loved it.  Landon made a coyote which is funny because Van is terrified of coyotes!  Van played it safe and made a monkey, "a monkey can save me by swinging me in a tree".

The finished product is Backpack (yup, Van named his Backpack) and Scrape.

Gunner also had to have a fun day with us so he decided he would say his first word....dada!  I love it know I can always say Jason you go get him after all he is calling for you!  Landon didn't want Gunner to feel left out during there photo session with my camera so he got a lot of pictures of him, this was the best one.

Soccer

Soccer season has begun.  Landon loves it and is a good little player.  He is a competitive one, he wants to win. He makes goals, blocks, and is always in the mix of things.  I glad he loves it because it is a time consuming sport.  Thanks mom for helping out and taking him all the times I can't, which is a lot!

You clean up nice

It is not everyday, really only once or twice a
year that the boys all wear ties, so
I thought I'd snap a quick shot!  Landon refused to smile.

the story of me

Five and a half years ago Landon was born and I was so excited to stay home with my new little guy!  A week after he was born I new I would be bored with just one kid so McKinna and Bodin came over to play with us while Shani was at work, I loved it.  Then anther kid came and another and another and Van and another well there are lots of others, and then of course Gunner and Roman.  I enjoyed them all!  After five-ish years I can say I learned a lot, my patience have been tried and I am ready to challenge myself in other ways.  I have always known that when my kids got older I would go back to school but I decided that now was the time!  So, my revolving front door has stopped spinning.  When my post are few and far between its because I am spending my time studying, sitting in class or working on childcare schedules!  But, after two months I can say I am happy that I made this choice, I love challenging myself in these new ways.  It has been a challenge finding the balance of school and life, Landon's homework, school, and soccer, Gunners naps, and all his other things, Romans only child hold me so I can eat your papers, and of course Vans many, many adventures.  I have learned that the only thing worse than not getting sleep with a baby is going to school M-F getting home in time to do homework for an hour or two before Gunner gets up at his normal one o'clock help me find my pacifier tantrum, then to bed for what feels like a power nap since Van is a very early riser!  I can also say that I would never have gotten done with the last two months if my I didn't have help from some awesome people.  Mom you have been such a huge help with my can you watch my kids NOW calls or Landon has soccer and Jason can't take him. Dad I still can't believe you came to watch them and call sometimes to see if I need help!  I have to say Jason has done great at being an only parent every night.  Thanks everyone for all your help, we appreciate it more than you know :)

Hide and Seek

I feel like I am always playing a game of hide and seek with this kid, he NEVER stops moving!  I thought the crawling at five months was a little ridiculous but the walking along everything at seven months is even worse.  One of his favorite things to do is walk along the stair railing.  I didn't think I could have a kid more active than Van but I was wrong.  Oh well, it is good to keep me on my toes helps work off all the chocolate I have been eating these days.

Snack Time!

Gunner had his first oreo the other day
as you can see he LOVED it :)
It was one of the Christmas ones so he was a huge red mess!
He also had his 6 month check up and is doing great.
He is 26" tall = 75%
13.8# = 0%
 head is 16.5" = 8%
Our tree's are finally big enough to get some good climbing in.  Landon is always up a tree.  It is nice for me since he will willing go out and climb whenever I suggest it however, it is not so great for our neighbor that is always in his backyard trying to enjoy his book.  I wish we had a little more space between neighbors but I thing our neighbor wishes it more.
Happy New Year!  Wow, what a loud night it was.
It was crazy how many fireworks were going off in the neighborhood, the air was so smokey.  The boys loved it!

Christmas Morning..Better Late Than Never

I felt pretty lucky that the boys did not get up until seven!  We got up read the Christmas Story and headed down the stairs...
Of course, Landon made it to his goods first!
Don't worry Van you were very close behind, actually, you would have made it first but you stopped at the tree and tried to start there!
I love when the house looks like this I think it show's how fun Christmas morning is :)
Yes, Gunner did have a great morning too! Things got a little crazy and we lost him in the huge mess,
but then he showed off a brand new trick and stood up with the help of an empty box
(I didn't have the camera). He sure loved playing in the mess!
