It has been confirmed we will always have a house full of.......
toy guns, bow and arrows, footballs, basketballs (of course that pink one that showed up on our lawn must stay on the lawn, pink can not be inside our house-Landons words) batman, spiderman, every BOY super hero that exists, every BOY train that lives on the Island of Sodor, nerf products, trucks, trucks, and more trucks and the list goes on and on. In case you have not got it by this point we are having another BOY!!
He is already following in the footsteps of his problem causing brothers and already acting up. Yes, I know that he has limbs because I feel him hit me with them but he would not show them today or his face. So, I get to go back for another ultrasound because the two we have got he would not show these important parts no he chooses to only reveal his wee-man!! Landon was very happy when he saw that he wanted a brother.
I assured Jason that he could still get new stuff and I would be making my trip to gap asap.

Happy New Year! Thanks Van for getting our medical bills rolling in on the second day of the year. This was a trip to Target gone bad. He was in the back of the cart and fell out. He is always crawling in and out of the cart and falls often but this time on the way down he hit the metal shelving. It was so embarrassing the blood was everywhere and the workers flock to you. Needless to say I refused to fill out the paper work and left. We went to the urgent care which was also horrible. Van has always been terrified of masks or anything covering your face. When we walked into the urgent care a 6:30 at night it was full of people wearing the face masks, Van took one look and lost it. He was screaming, shaking, and yelling take me home. I went up the lady at the front and told her that I was going to wait outside until it was our turn she told me the next person to go out come in and they would take him right back. Cool there was no way I was going to tell them that he was screaming over masks and not over the injury. We were outside for about 2 minutes when they came out and took us in (still took 2 hours to get done). He was mad and cried the whole time. They wrapped him in a huge sheet, the nurse and I pretty much laid on him as the doc put his three stitches in. What a fun start to the new year!!
*just for the record Jason you were out varmint hunting during this adventure*
Where is Van? I often find myself asking that question. I got up and went to Fry's and when I got home they were in the kitchen eating breakfast. Jason came out to the car to help me get the groceries out and when we come back in Van was gone. As we were using the front door he went out the garage and snuck into the trailer. Jason had it hooked up to the truck and was just waiting for me home so he could leave for a side job. Van never said a word as we look for him so after we found him Jason decided to go ahead and leave for work. I thought for sure Van would stand up and try to get out as soon he got out of the drive way but oh I was wrong.

He went all the way around the block and it was 36 degrees out. When he got back we made him get out and he said
"No, I go to work with Daddy, I hold on tight"!
He is always up to something and goes to
any extreme to get it done.
You can see his little hand holding on if you look really close.

Christmas Morning 2009

I was so surprised when at 3 something a.m. Van was the one sneaking in our room saying "mom, mom, did Santa really come?". It was so cute even if it was just after we had gone to sleep. It was totally worth the late night and the they loved it. We got up and kept with the tradition of reading the Christmas story, then headed down the stairs to find this.....

Landon kept turning around faster than the camera could take the picture.
He got the Batman car that he really wanted.
Van got trains and loved all of them!
Here is one of the to share gifts, a new castle.
Here is the other to share gift and one of there FAVORITES. They are crazy kids on the trampoline but love every minute of it!
It was a great Christmas Morning and the rest of the day was just as good. We hit both of out parents houses, opened more gifts and ate great food all day!

Cookies for Santa

For Christmas Eve we get a little dressed up and have a delicious dinner at the Merkley's house every year. It is a great tradition and we like to follow it with a trip to the Temple lights. So, since it is a late night we got Santa's cookies ready before we left.

They also said goodbye to Stanley, there elf.
They left him where Santa would not miss him.
He is a great elf and we can't wait for him to come back next Christmas.
*Christmas Sunday 2009*
I love my Handsome boys!
They even look like they really love each other!

Rindin' The Train

McCormick Railroad Park, this could be one of Vans favorite places. It was packed but we still had a fabulous time. Here we are boarded the train (it only took us an hour to get on). They loved the snow and all the lights along the ride.

During the crazy long wait the kids got to visit with some friends.
They hit the carousel and went through the little train museum. GREAT FUN!
