Bodin is always talking about Lego Batman and you know whatever Bodin has Landon NEEDS! I figured since Jason has been working way to many hours I deserved a nice break from Landon, so off I went to target to get the best game ever. I successfully got the best game ever, pizza for dinner and Bodin to spend the night. Could the night get any easier?! Well, Van is putting toothpaste in Landon's hair, Landon is throwing punches, and Bodin and JASON are the happiest little wii players I think I have ever seen! Got to love husbands, little boys in a big body!

Some days should end early
Only read if you are bored or avoiding house hold duties like I am!
One of those days . . . . Van started the morning by doing an awesome front flip thing off the swing set. Results ~ huge bump in the middle of his head with a cut on it, a cut on his chin, and bruise on his cheek, he looks lovely. Time to go inside ~ He is a tooth brush freak, he loves to brush and carries his tooth brush at least 75% of the day. (Drives me crazy) I showed him McKades new tooth I should of thought that through, poor McKade, Van tried to brush that tooth all morning. Trip to the post office, well no need to explain we all know how that is let alone with four kids under the age of four. It is 7:30 Jason is not home from work yet, dinner lets just say I passed on that it was a kid only kind of dinner. Now I am arguing with Landon on why he should take a bath. I will win but he is arguing his case get ready. . . . he feels that since he did not poop today he does not need to take a bath yes, you read that right. I would like to say that I cannot think of a day in his life that he has not pooped come on kid your a boy, you are your dads boy, I know you are lying. Now he is telling me he did not toot today either, his nose is growing very fast! Why can't they just get in the tub?! Why do my children go through the phase of calling me Brie? It is Vans favorite thing to yell all day long! Ahhh Please day come to an end.
~If my camera battery was not dead I would add Vans new look but it is 100% dead, go figure~

Fallen OUT of love!
Zoey aka Zo Zo Bear
Remembering back to all the animals we had as kids the dogs were by far my favorite. We had many and I loved them all. I remember feeling bad when they got bit by snakes, washing them after the skunks got them, feeding them and so on. I loved the dog (Doc) Jason and I got for our first kid. He was a great spoiled only child until many years later when Landon came along and well he had to leave, he could not handle being with kids. It was sad seeing him go but I quickly got over it. Landon had a spring break job of watching Whitney and Tommys fat dog Zoey while they took a little road trip and lets say it reminded me of all the reason I have fallen OUT of love with dogs.
You have to clean up poop YUCK ~ when you live on acres that was never an issue
When they bark neighbors care ~ again never issue when you did not have neighbors
"Zo Zo Bear" kept sneaking on my couch
Slobber and hair abandoned throughout the house
Leashes are a must ~ again you guessed it, I don't think we ever owned a lease
When you open the front door out she darts ~ yes, again never a problem growing up
Kids that are allergic to peanuts are HIGHLY allergic to dogs tongues, who would have guessed the peanut oil in the dog food could be transferred to the poor little guys face and hives would immediately appear ~ Lesson learned.
So, Zoey can continue to extremely occasionally visit since the boys do love her! However, it was a nice reminder to me that I will only love dogs from a far and I never want to own one agian. Any ideas on how to convince Jason of this? He still thinks he needs a hunting dog, has he not learned form the three he has already had?!

Spring Break
It is spring break and I love it!! I have had so much fun with my boys. I have had three days this week with just us. We have enjoyed the weather and our time together, I have had some great runs with them. I have been running to some of the neighborhoods around us and then we stop for a snack and a play at a new playground, they love it. We have stopped to see all the horses, cows, turtles and every other bug that has been around (sometimes it is not a run at all but a long game of stop and go). It feels great to throw out our daily routine, do things a little different and just enjoy my time with my kids.
I have also done a few productive things Van is know a big boy in his big boy bed. It has been a great transition for him (I hope I don't ruin a good thing) he has not put up much of a fight at nap time and has been getting in bed on his own at night, completely different from Landon!
Landon is becoming a great computer game player! Kind of a scary thought since he has watered the keyboard a couple months ago and completely broke it, I swore that he would never touch my computer but, well, yeah I lied and he enjoys it. As I watch from afar I can see that he is smarter than he lets on. What a stink, we all thought he was color blind but if you watch him without him knowing he is being watch he matches them all perfectly. This just made me laugh, he kept asking yesterday when Mr. Crabs was coming for Patricks Day, I love how they think!
Just a random thought here but I used to think that Jason worked a lot WOW my eyes have been opened! I feel so blessed how things have worked out for us. We knew it was only a matter of time before his days at TW Lewis came to an end in this economy and a new year brought us an unfamiliar feeling of unemployment. We cannot complain TW Lewis was good to us and we will always be grateful to them for the six years they gave us. Now Jason has leaped into the world of AC. He is with a good company and in our eyes it is a recession proof job, who can live without ac, definitely not me! He is doing great and I am amazed how quickly he picks up on things. I also love the company truck, it is not the nicest but who can complain it is a free truck with gas!
Anyway, here is to a great spring break, we hope everyones is as great as ours has been :)

some battles are not worth battling
The boys and I went to go running with Whitney the other night, as I loaded up the jogging stroller Landon went to change into a dry shirt (it would have been nice if he also cleaned up the huge puddle on the kitchen floor). I looked at him and tried to send him back up to put on a shirt that matched but he insisted that he did match. All he would say was look mom stripes and stripes they match. The battle could have gone all night but we were going to run out of light so I let him leave the house looking like that. One day when he looks at this he will no that I did win and did NOT match!
*if we were going to a public place the battle would have been fought!*
Out of the Blue
*This is what I would love to tell Landon and have him understand*
“… Everyone in the Church who is on the straight and narrow path, who is striving and struggling and desiring to do what is right, though [he] is far from perfect in this life; if he passes out of this life while he’s on the straight and narrow, he’s going to go on to eternal reward in his Father’s kingdom” (The Probationary Test of Mortality, devotional address, Salt Lake Institute of Religion, Jan. 10, 1982, 8–9).
When he is old enough to understand will have had a great example to follow!
