Nap Time

I love sleeping babies especially a sleeping Gunner!
This is his favorite was to sleep, face down on his hands.

He often wakes up like this...
reminds me of Mike Tyson.
For Van's birthday he decided that he had to have
a pinata so we made it.
The boys had a lot of fun "building" it
and even more fun painting it.
I have to say it is a time consuming project
but totally worth it.

Come Party With Me!

Good Bye Terrible Two's - Hello Terrific Three's
(If only that was true, but hey I can wish!)
Van started his birthday morning running in at 5 AM to get the day started.  Being the fun loving mother that I am I told him that his birthday would be canceled if he did
not lay down and go back to sleep.
At 6:30 when he got back up we started his birthday!  He got to pick two presents to open and those held him over until the party started.

He got one of his favorite dinners (spaghetti and watermelon) on the special red plate.  After dinner he would not open presents until he did the pinata.  Not sure why but he wanted it and loved it.

Rachel made him an AWESOME birthday cake.  It was just what he asked for Beast Boy who is his favorite super hero.  He is part of the Teen Titans he looks just like some one Van would love.  He also wanted it to be blue so the cake itself was blue.
Making a WISH!
He was so busy during the party that he never sat down so I saved the cake for him (and me).  After things cleared out a bit I cut him a piece of cake and he looked at me like I was crazy.  So I took the whole beast boy off and sat it on his slice of cake.  He picked it up and ate beast boy in about two seconds!  Thanks Rachel he LOVED his cake!
Thanks everyone for coming.  Van loves everything!  He play until I made him go to bed.  After I told him good night he said "thanks for not canceling by birthday"!  He got right up this morning and picked up where he left off.
Happy Happy Birthday Van.  It has been a fun three years.  I love watching you grow, explore, and learn.  You love your brothers and can be the best little helper.  You are quick with your words and so smart.  You know what drives me crazy and then you know what makes me laugh.  You can be the sweatest, loving little guy and than a little terror at times.  I love your huge personality and am so glad your mine.  What else can I say you keep me on my toes.  Love you Van Man!!  Hope your year is FANTASTIC!
Caught you red handed
Yes, you ate the entire container of Strawberries.
Yes, you are on my couch.
Yes, that is the couch that we DO NOT eat food on.
Thanks for sharing Van and
obeying the do not eat on the couch rule.
Not the greatest picture but this was
Gunners first airplane ride!
He was so good on the plane.
We had a lot of fun in Utah and got to see
family that we have not seen in so long.

Meal Time

Since I still don't have much of an appetite at dinner tonight I decided it was time for Gunner to try some rice cereal.  He was a pro!  He kept almost all of it in and didn't do the weird tongue push out thing, he was grabbing my hand to get it in faster, he LOVED it!
first food..rice cereal and apple juice

Sticky mess

Remember last time I was sick and gave the boys some freedom and ended up with a house full of play doh?!  I can now say it has been topped.
When you walk down stairs to find this on the kitchen floor you know your in for a super sticky mess!
(hard to tell but this honey bottle is from costco so it is costco size and it was brand new and now the head is empty)

A whole bears head of honey has been poured on the kitchen floor and then spread out with a knife.  When you ask the boys what happen and Van quickly responds with "the Daddy Sharky did it", you know he is the one guilty of this crime.  He then went on to tell me that he was making a sandwich.  I would have believed that because he does make sandwiches sometimes.  But not this time he didn't even bother to get the bread or peanut butter out.  I don't buy his story!!  He lucked out because I am sick AGAIN and had no energy to deal with this so he slid by with some not so kind words.  Thanks Whitney and Tommy for coming to the rescue and watching the boys.  Thanks Mom for leaving work with no notice to take me to the hospital and sitting with me in that boring room for hours until Jason came.
Whitney here is something to think about...Landon living with you?!
When they picked me up from the hospital today he said can't you stay longer why did you have to leave.  Wow I can feel the love!  At least Van said he missed me.
