It went like this....

We have been MIA but it kinda went like this.....
Thanksgiving was great, we did not get a single picture, but, the food was great and I am still working off the extra pounds.  The shopping was tiring, I am still trying to recover, and still wrapping.  Then, November was over and December here.

We started it off by going to breakfast with Santa.  The boys loved him, no tears this year!  Every time I would turn around Van would be back over cutting the kids and talking to Santa. The list was long!

Even Gunner took his turn and played with his awesome white beard.

On to our ginger bread house, it was awesome.  It had tons of frosting and candy, but we couldn't stop there...
Grandma sent the boys some fish and told us how to build a pond but it was so fun we ended up with two big lakes to go with our house.
Since they are there Daddy's boys they knew it would not be complete with out some trees, animal crackers and a hunter. Yes, they had to add that to.  It was a fun project!!
Christmas Sunday, This picture just makes me laugh :)
Finally,Christmas Eve.  The story has been read, the cookies and milk are out, the new jammies are on, the good bye's have been said (for Stanley, our elf)
and the boys are all asleep.

Merry Christmas everyone!

What a way to start the day!

Van--Can I have some chocolate milk?
Me---No, we don't have any.
Van--We have he mix, make it!
Me---No, your fine, drink the white milk.
Van--Fine! He goes and picks out his cereal (coco pebbles) and pours it into his bowl.
Me---I pour the milk in
Van--Gets his spoon, stirs it up, drinks out of the bowl (he NEVER drinks out of the bowl),
leaves every single peace of cereal and says
MMMM... now that was good chocolate milk!!
***Yes, I got out smarted by a three year old!***

HiKiN'

With the Awesome weather comes some
Awesome Family Time.
The other day we told the boys that we were going to go for a hike in the morning. Much to our surprise they were dressed, ready to go, and waking us up at 5:30 in the morning.  Jason and I dragged ourselves out of bed and off we went.  We were definitely one of the firsts up the mountain.

 My Happy Boys!

Hallo-weekend

Happy Halloween!!
It was a little crazy this year
with four nights of fun.
We started Thursday night at Landon's school, Friday night at the ward trunk or treat, Saturday night at the neighborhood party and finally, Sunday night we hit the streets of our neighborhood.  It was a little much but the boys had fun!
Landon was Optimus Prime
Van was his sidekick, Bumble Bee
Gunner was a BEAR!
 Transformers....Roll Out!
One night we switched things up
and made Gunner a skunk and boy
did he STINK!
Roman came to hang out with us one night
 he was cute little bear.
At the neighborhood party they had horses
pulling a big trailer and of course the boys needed to ride.
They lucked out and got to sit in the very front closest to the horses.
They LOVED trick or treating and had so much fun
going with some neighbor friends.
This was the last picture of Halloween.
They were all officially exhausted and ready for
Halloween to come to an end!
HaHa, they were fine I was the one ready for it to be over!

Pumpkin Patch

    This is/was our
Mr. Potato Pumpkin Patch!
Bet you can guess what one was
 my favorite :)

An act of Service?!

This is Romans first week of hanging out with us while his mom is at work.  Yesterday Landon is playing with him and Landon says "Can I do something really really nice for Whitney?"  I tell him sure that is a good idea.  He gets excited and goes to get what he needs and tells me how he likes to do really really nice things.  He is always my loving one.  He is in the front closet I ask him what he has planned?  "Well, the really really nice thing I am going to do is give Roman a haircut."  Oh, no I am so glad I asked.  I explained to him that we don't cut other peoples hair especially not some one who does not live with us.  He so kindly told me how he is a boy and has really long hair and Whitney would like it if he helped her by cutting it.  Roman we love your long hair even when it gets a little Monica like on rainy days!
Whitney, don't worry the scissors are up high.

Popcorn Popping

Van loves to eat, popcorn is his favorite.  The other day he asked me to get his popcorn for him and I told him he would have to wait a couple minutes, waiting is not his strong point.  I watched him push over his stool and then it got interesting and I was glad I was right next to my camera.
---puts in his popcorn, closes the door, hits the popcorn button, the 3, the 0, and start.---
---happy as can be as he tells me "I did it all by myself!---
---runs to the bathroom and makes it back before the timer beeps
(he always does this while his popcorn pops)---
It is kind of nice to know that he is fully capable of making his own popcorn but a little scary at the thought that one of these days he will open the popcorn bag on his own and burn himself.  Boy this kid is independent!!
