Good bye 2011

We decided to close out the year with a little weekend getaway.  Jason got off work early on Friday so we couldn't resist, we packed up and headed to the cabin.  The boys were so excited that there was snow still on the ground.
Lucy was not a huge fan of the snow and she managed to find the sunny spots where it was melted.

SUCCESS!!  We went and sledded our our favorite hill and no one went to the ER!!  Van did of course manage to wrap himself around a tree but luckily all he got was a few little scratches on his stomach.

After our sledding adventure we went over to put some flowers on Grandma Graces Spot.  The boys were very into making sure all the flowers were right where they needed to be.
We also went over to Grandmas house and had a nice little visit with her and her dogs.  Another success...none of my kids fell in the fish pond!  Yup, I got smart this time and would not them go out in the back yard.  I am sure next time we come to visit one of them will go swimming with the fish, it is just mean to not let them go out back two trips in a row :)

New Years Eve can only mean one thing...
FIREWORKS!!  My Dad, Jason, and Tommy can put on a good show.

Yahoo, we made it though this year. I won't lie this year was full of many adventures and challenges. I finished school, started a new job, we moved, we found renters (hooray), we had our fair share of medical issues, each boy teaches me new things every day, some are great and some well, I wish I never learned. We had to say good bye to Grandma Grace and Grandpa Teen, they were both the best and will forever be missed!  Even with all the ups and down it we survived and are extremely blessed!  Hello 2012!

Christmas Morning

Wake up wake up Did Santa Come?????

Landon and Van made it down the starts before Gunner could even round the corner, so Jason went ahead and helped speed him up.

Picture overload here they are with there stuff.  Van was hard to get a picture of because he never stopped moving!
Santa hid the boys big gifts in the bronco. haha he made them worry when the things they begged for were no where to be found.

Gunner was a little unsure about the new dog!

Here she is our new Shih Poo, she is tiny!
And then we were off to church.  It was a great Christmas!!  Everyone was happy and the rest of the day was great.  We made it to both our parents houses and back home again.

December

We were able to do all those fun things to help get us in the Christmas spirit.....
Van had his preschool program.

Look close and you will see Landon at his school program.
We went to see the Temple lights.

We built a gingerbread house and a gingerbread, the finished project was Mickey Mouses Clubhouse and there Choo Choo Express Train.  It is one of the boys Holiday Favorite Movie.

Stanley the Elf was up to a lot around the house and helped keep the boys in line.  This night he stayed up and built some snowmen with marshmallows.  Van had a great time the next morning building more.

He also had some company this day and stood watch with the Batman's.
December was a busy and fun month but I must say I am ready for 2012.

Hello Santa!
Landon made sure to tell him that he wanted a picuture of his reindeer and some other stuff.

Van was so so so excited to see Santa!! He could hardly wait his turn and when it was finally his turn he ran up as fast as he could jumped on the couch and started in on his list.  First on his list was beyblades.

Gunner and Roman were not so happy to see him but Van was happy holding them down.

AGAIN

For the second time this year Landon broke a bone.  The school nurse called me and said "he fell on the playground and is really upset but I think it is okay I am going to send him back to class".  I agreed and told her when he came back to call me.  I hung up and called Jason and told him, I know she will be calling back but I bought myself some time to shower.  Really I did not think he could have done it AGAIN so when she called I brought him back home and tried to finish up my work day.  With in a couple hours of him being home I felt bad enough and saw enough tears to take him to urgent care.  We got to see the same Doc that broke the new to him in February when he broke his left elbow but his time it was that he broke both bones in this right wrist.  He did it the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and was able to get his cast off right after Christmas.

SOCCER

Soccer season has come to a close.  It was fun the boys did great.  Landon is very competitive and a great team player.  He loves to make the goals but was also very good about passing to one of his team mates who had a better shot.

Van well, he is very competitive also but in a different way.  He was mad every time it was time to play because for 1,258,999,999 time he had to tell me and everyone around that he does not want to play soccer only football.  I luck out and he had an amazing coach who got him out there.   He loved to make goals and to run faster than everyone else on his team and the other teams.  He would have to start by doing this I can run faster than you pose.
Here is his starting pose...

Last but not least the future soccer players cheering on the boys :)

Hello Winter

We took a quick trip to the rim to play in the snow.  We have to go again soon the boys were not happy when we only stayed an hour or so but it was all the free time we had.  Gunner loved everything about the sled.  He cried every time he had to get off and give the boys a turn.  He didn't even care when he went down the hill smashed between the two of them.

Van and Landon of course, loved it to.  They have always been snow kids.  They sledded, built a snowman (and if are wondering what the stick is Van insisted that the snowman was on a sled, yes, we know it does not look good) and had snowball fights!

Van says, It was AWESOME until we got cold!
