Big Boy

Not sure what setting the boys had set my camera to...wow, my brown wall looks very yellow.  Anyway, check out this big boy in his underwear.  They have to have a super hero on them or he will not wear them, he makes me crazy!  I made the mistake of forcing him to wear a shirt that was not one he approved of and lets just say that he ended up walking through target with out the shirt on.  Yup, we looked high class!  I can not risk the same fight again, especially when it is underwear.
He wanted to make sure that the back was also seen.
I have to say he was by far my worst one to potty train. I hate loosing and did loose the first time I tried.  On round one he did great the first two days and I thought for sure we were in the clear, wrong. He got up and said no potty, he decided that he was not going to do, he is so stubborn.   Lets just say that urine was places that it never should have been and I think it was the first time that I just cried because I was soooo mad at the kid.  I had to take a month-ish off and then give it another try.  I am so glad that round two went smoother.  Gunner you are the first one that has not been potty trained by two, you mastered it at 26 months.

Guess I should get to work and resizing all the diapers for Zev.

First Grade

Off to his first day of First grade with Mrs Flores.

After school when asked how his day was he said, horrific!  He loves school.  He always says how bad it is but deep down I am sure he loves it.  Really he is just mad that Van has not started preschool yet.  He does like school, mostly just the social part of it and he never wants to do homework.
Since Jason is always having to fix those AC units during the summer and can't get away we took a quick staycation at the Arizona Grand Resort.  We spent every moment in the water, every one of our kids think they are a fish.  Landon even went on the huge water slide and hated it.  He did go on the short twist one later on and liked that one.

We went over to Arizona Mills and hit the Rainforest Cafe' for dinner.  The boys loved it.  Zev even sat in the stroller and watched the fish for quite a while.  Him sitting and not screaming rarely happens.

Gunner slept for most of dinner, he got up just in time for dessert.  Go figure!
Great weekend!!

Summer Fun

One of the things we have done this summer is some science experiments.  The boys liked doing them and some worked and well, some did not.  The favorites were the elephant toothpaste, exploding mentos.  The fail would be the home made bouncy balls.  We will have to give that one another try when Gunner is not helping.  I am sure his extra ingredients made it a fail.
 Gunner covered in food coloring.
Since those three got to try some new things Zev needed in on the action and got to have some rice cereal.  I can't help it I always have to add some flavoring to it so Zev's first taste of baby solids was rice cereal mixed with watermelon juice.  YUM!

It is safe to say he loved it!
Boys at there best.  We had a family reunion/birthday party for Grandma Betty.  I was in feeding Zev and came out to find the boys hanging out in the hall having a wrestling match.  Good Times!

What a catch

Since Ben missed the birthday fishing trip these boys got very luck and got to have a second fishing trip.  Each kid big and small got to catch one fish.

Sophie was the only one who was able to sleep through the heat.

It was a fun little outing.
Enjoying one of the summer storms.  It was pooring you two were jumping and having a great old time,

and grumpy Gunner was hiding under the porch yelling at you guys.
I love days like this.  It is amazing how a little rain can lighten the day :)
