Mothers Day 2009

Jason and I were talking the other night about what we were going to get our mothers for mothers day when Landon piped in and said "I know beautiful flowers" We both looked at him and asked him who told him that, he quickly replies the "the TV". We both laughed and continued to think of something to go along with the "Beautiful Flowers". A couple days later I was telling Whitney about this conversation, she takes it a bit further and asks Landon where are you going to get the beautiful flowers from? Without wasting a second Landon replies "from Santa Clause"! She had to keep it going so she tells him that Santa does not bring flowers for Mothers Day so he again without wasting a second says "well, I will get them from the TV". I loved both his answers, I really wish Santa would bring gifts all year round, life would be so much easier! Anyway, on Saturday I took him to Target so he could pick out "beautiful flowers" for all the amazing mothers in our lives and me. He had a lot of fun and put a lot of thought in who got what flowers.

(Van also enjoyed this and I should have watched him a bit closer because he turned around and started taste testing all the produce, whoops)

Sunday morning I got to have a great breakfast and eat first! This one is for the record books, I was the first one to start eating, finish eating, and I did not share my food with any little boys! Landon tells me Happy Mothers Day and I totally set my myself up for this, I said thanks, am I good mom? STUPID question and he so quickly fires off one of his great comments......

"Well, you would be better if you folded laundry faster!!" Really, really, you just said that, better luck to all you other mothers!

It was a great mothers day followed by church, than some much needed family fun time, (I can't remember the last time we got Jason outside with us to have some backyard fun) and then a great dinner at Shani's! Good times, can't wait until next year!
