Last Friday Jason was sick and stayed home from work so I took Landon to school. I walked him in as I pass by his teacher she tells me how he is really struggling. I told her I could tell and that he was struggling at home. I was floored at what she told me next "he is a perfectionist so I just keep telling him to cut faster, color faster, and just go faster". Seriously it is the first week of school and you just sent me an email saying he was doing great?! Landon and I continue down the hallway to the play ground and I tell him to just go as fast as he can today and give it another try. As he is standing there crying he says "if I do that she will get mad and put a big X on my paper". Sure enough he comes home crying as usual and gives me the paper that has a two big X's and she wrote on it "TIME IS UP". I could not believe it, I felt so bad I told him all week to get over it and that she was not that bad. I thought for sure he was making it out to be worse than it was but I was wrong. Sorry Landon for making you spend ten long days with that horrible teacher.
I called Monday and switched him schools.
Day one went great. He was not sure at first but when I picked him up he loved and said "we got recess and snack" (the other teacher told him she did not have that in her classroom it was a distraction). Day two he comes running out to meet me and says "I had recess and snack again and I NEVER want to go back to that mean teacher"!! He got a few weird looks as he yelled that out. I am so glad round two has worked out, he is so much happier and so am I!

I give up!!
Landon....Takes him an hour to get ready seriously he won't even Velcro his shoes himself. Dragging him out the door "Mom why can't it be 5 days home 2 days at school"?! Yup, every day is just like that! Not sure I can handle much more he may be a Kindergarten drop out.
Van...Well, lets just say his little baby teeth are going to cost me BIG HUGE AMOUNTS! Nicer things better start coming out of his mouth with all the money we are putting into it.
Gunner...AKA Mr. Long and Lean.
weight 8pounds 4ounces=0% * length 22 3/4 inches 45% * head 14 3/4 8% *
Yes, he failed his 2 month check up. For some reason only gaining one pound in two months is not going to cut it, weight checks here we come. On a happier note he is smiling, talking, and never stops moving. He can even cruise up and back down his crib unless he gets stuck! Don't worry Mr. Long and Lean Similac will fatten you up.
This just made me laugh, I guess it is time to put some bumpers up.
Note to self
don't have a doctor and dentist appointment back to back it is just way to depressing.

The diagnosis is....
Last night after we got ready for bed Landon got sick, really sick. He was up for hours running to the bathroom. It was so bad that he knew he would not be able to go to school in the morning. I felt so bad as he told me what was wrong with him. "I was taking my shower when Van snuck in (always happens) and plugged the bath then he put in bubbles. Some of the bubbles got into my mouth and now they are stuck in my stomach. The bubbles just keep coming up into my mouth and I have to run to the bathroom to spit them out into the sink." Wow Landon, I can't believe you have bubble disease good thing it goes away when you sleep. He got up this morning feeling great but he needed the day off. I hyped him up told him he would have extra time on the play ground if we left fast and off we went. He held it together until he got in the car and the tears began. Poor Landon just can not stop talking, he better learn. Can't wait to see what tonight and tomorrow brings.

1st day of school
Today was Landon's first day of school. He was so excited to start kindergarten he said bye and ran right on to the playground. I was so surprised when I picked him up and the excitement was GONE. He of course got in trouble for talking when his teacher was talking, no surprise; he was not upset by that at all actually I think he was proud. He was upset that there was no toys, no snacks, and she told the class to drink there drinks slowly. He was not impressed by the coloring sheet she gave him it was boring and she has a lot of rules. When I asked him what his favorite thing was he said "well, pretty much nothing"! I had to talk him into going back tomorrow. This could be a long year.
He did have a blast going school shopping and he does have good taste in cloths!
When we got home I told Van that he was now the big boy of the house and let him pick what he wanted to do. He stripped down and run up stairs as fast as he could to take a huge bubble bath. I was not expecting that to be his answer and by the time I got Gunner out of his seat and up to check on him it was for sure a HUGE bubble bath. He had so many bubbles in it that they started coming out of my down stairs toilet!
Bubble YUM!
When I am driving and Van is not talking/yelling demands for the radio or yelling at Landon and Gunner I know I am going to turn around and find some thing....
Yup, this time he had snuck into the bubble gum and help himself to the whole thing!
Here is a few Van facts from the month...
*Van believes that while we all wait in the very occupied public restroom for him to do his business he needs to keep everyone informed on how it is going in the stall. When you tell him to hurry up because we are tired of waiting he very loudly says
"I am trying to get a big poop out so that it can make a HUGE splash"!
Embarrassing
*When he is making me crazy and in hopes of changing the moment I said I love you Van and he replies with
"I LOVE DADDY"
Thank you that really helped
*When you take him to the splash pad and says I will not share this spot with that boy he is serious and it gets a little ugly.
Thanks for pushing my buttons and making me crazy life would be a bore without you!
